The Ultimate Guide to a Stress-Free Move: Tips from Professional Movers
Move-Intuit General Packing Guidelines
Packing is the longest phase of the move.
The better the pack the faster the move.
Decide what to pack and what not to pack (throw away, give away, garage sell…)
Packing should be completed before Move-Intuit arrive.
Are you going to blanket and or wrap the furniture (protection) or will Move-Intuit do it?
Use Professional Moving Boxes (Move-Intuit Can Provide)
Standard sizes
Medium boxes for heavier items (books, kitchen items, etc).
Large boxes for lighter items (clothes, towels, bedding, etc).
Wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, pillows, etc. Wardrobe boxes cannot handle the weight.
Boxes should be able to be closed/sealed for stacking.
Tape the bottom of the boxes well.
Do not exceed 50lbs per box.
Label every box with the room it belongs in and if fragile.
Do not have spaces or gaps inside boxes. The box may collapse or items inside may break.
